Habiba’s Greenville Premiere Mediterranean Cuisine Review
Step Inside a Truly Unique Experience
Habiba means “loved one” and you will love their menu that combines Greek, Lebanese, Moroccan and Indian specialities. It’s a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, but with a little bit of everything. Dishes such as babaganoush, hummus, spanakopita, stuffed grape leaves and samosas on the mezze, or appetizer menu and a range of chicken, beef, lamb, and seafood flavored with spices like ginger, turmeric, garlic, cinnamon, clove and allspice.
Habiba has perfected the lamb. Almost all the meat on the Habiba menu is halal. Habiba prepares the lamb in a kabob form and in burger form, but by far the most popular dish is the lamb shank. They roast it in an oven for at least three hours in a specially spiced sauce. Then it is finished on the stove and served with Basmati rice and vegetables like turnip, carrots, squash and zucchini sautéed with turmeric and cayenne pepper. It is so moist, it falls off the bone.
